Summer House Star KJ Reveals Whether West Reached Out as Amanda Romance Heats Up

Summer House just gave us another mess to untangle. KJ Dillard called out West Wilson for saying he reached out to their cast after going public with Amanda Batula. KJ says that text never hit his phone. And yes, this is all happening while the reunion is looming.

On Monday, April 20, West talked about the fallout from his new relationship with Amanda on his podcast, Show Me Something, which he cohosts with Sophie Cunningham. He said he sent messages to castmates and wasn’t shocked some people hadn’t answered yet. He also admitted his choices hurt people he cares about, and he plans to apologize face-to-face at the season 10 reunion and sort through the online chatter there.

Hours later, KJ (28) jumped on Threads to say he never got any such message. He kept it blunt:

'I’m checking my text messages, but I never received anything. The truth hurts, homie, tough love.'

KJ, who is tight with Ciara Miller, hinted he has more to say but is trying to keep it zipped until the reunion tapes later this month. He also joked about logging off before anyone accuses him of crossing a line online again. Over in the comments, Southern Charm’s Venita Aspen basically volunteered as tribute.

How we got here

This all started March 31, when Amanda (34) and West (31) surprised pretty much everyone — including their costars — by announcing on social that they’re dating. In their joint post, they framed it as something they wanted to figure out privately first because of the complicated friend dynamics and the reality-TV microscope. They said their feelings evolved, they didn’t want to be careless or hurt people, and they asked fans for some grace while they sort it out.

The Ciara of it all

Reactions were immediate, and a lot of the support has landed with Ciara Miller (30). She previously dated West and used to be one of Amanda’s closest friends, so, yeah — awkward. KJ said he’s still genuinely hurt by how this has played out and just wants his friend group to be okay.

She said she didn’t believe the Amanda/West rumors at first, then certain dots started connecting.
