Months before their January split, Summer House star Amanda Batula called couples therapy her last-ditch bid to save her marriage to Kyle Cooke—confessing on the April 7 episode that “last weekend was really, really bad.”

On this week's Summer House, we basically watched Amanda Batula say the quiet part out loud: couples therapy was the last card she and Kyle Cooke had left to play. And because reality TV loves a twist, all of this was shot months before their actual split — which makes the episode land a little harder.

Where things stood in the episode

The April 7 episode (shot in August 2025 ) picks up after what Amanda, 34, called a brutal weekend in the Hamptons. The week prior, Kyle, 43, blew up at her — we're talking an on-camera 'F*** you' and calling her a 'f***ing dumbass bitch.' Not great.

They did have a heart-to-heart after that and agreed to try couples therapy. Amanda was cautiously optimistic, saying she felt like Kyle finally heard her. But she also didn't sugarcoat how dire it felt.

'Couples therapy feels like our last option... If we can't pay someone to fix our problems, then what the f*** are we doing?'

Kyle, the Loverboy founder, owned his part. In his confessional, he said he felt 'hopeful and optimistic' because they finally committed to therapy, and he took full responsibility for what he said. His words: something had to break, and he was the one who broke it. With only two weekends left in the shared Hamptons house, he wanted to make the most of it with Amanda. If you're keeping score, this is the show trying to end a rough summer on a functional note.

How it lines up with real life

  • Aug 2025: The episode's events are filmed.
  • Jan 19, 2026: Five months later, Amanda and Kyle announce they're separating after four years of marriage. They married in Sept 2021 and called the split mutual and amicable, asking for privacy while they focus on personal growth and healing.
  • Mar 31, 2026: After weeks of fan speculation, Amanda and Summer House castmate West Wilson, 31, confirm on Instagram Stories that their longtime friendship has 'evolved' into something more. They say it developed naturally and they're handling it carefully.
  • Apr 1, 2026: Kyle speaks up on TikTok with Adam Glyn, saying he's worried about Amanda. He claims she's getting cyberbullied and suggests West has been seeing multiple women at once. He also admits he doesn't totally understand the timeline of Amanda and West.
  • Apr 3, 2026: A source tells Us Weekly that West was recently flirting with — and allegedly hooked up with — his ex (and Amanda's close friend) Ciara Miller, 30, about three to four weeks ago. For context, West and Ciara first dated in 2023 and stayed flirty during Season 10, which filmed in 2025.
  • Apr 3, 2026: Despite the online drama, Kyle and Amanda are spotted walking their dogs together in New York City.
  • Apr 7, 2026: The episode with the therapy 'last option' conversation airs on Bravo.

The takeaway

On screen, Amanda and Kyle are trying therapy as the Hail Mary. Off screen, they split in January, and by spring she's dating West. Kyle's not thrilled — and he's airing concerns about both the internet pile-on and West's behavior — while a separate whisper network is pushing a recent West/Ciara hookup. It's messy, even by Hamptons share-house standards, and the timeline is exactly the kind of behind-the-scenes detail fans will pick apart all season.

Summer House airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
