Summer House Producers Eye Major Shake-Up After Amanda and West Scandal
Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s romance scandal has jolted the Bravoverse — and Summer House won’t look the same. A source tells Us Weekly the series is leaving its original Hamptons house next season as producers scout new locations and weigh potential spinoffs.
Bravo is shaking the snow globe again. The Amanda Batula and West Wilson situation didn't just blow up a friend group; it might actually change what Summer House looks like next season. And yeah, producers are already moving pieces around the board.
Summer House is moving out of the house
A production insider says the next season of Summer House will not film in the OG Hamptons house. Producers are weighing a different location, potentially spinning it off, and even opening the door to a mostly new cast. It could wind up being more than one show.
Meanwhile, several longtime faces are being steered toward the NYC-based spinoff, In the City. Kyle Cooke, Amanda Batula, and Lindsay Hubbard are expected to focus there going forward.
So what is In the City and when do we get it?
Season 1 of In the City was shot in fall 2025, after the events of Summer House season 10 and before Kyle, 43, and Amanda, 34, announced their split in January. It premieres Tuesday, May 19.
- Core focus: Kyle Cooke, Amanda Batula, Lindsay Hubbard
- Also appearing: Danielle Olivera and Andrea Denver, plus a stack of new faces
- Cast names you'll see across promos and the trailer: Lindsay Hubbard, Dara Levitan, KJ Dillard, West Wilson, Mia Calabrese, Kyle Cooke, Jesse Solomon, Levi Sebree, Ben Waddell, Amanda Batula, Ciara Miller, Carl Radke, Bailey Taylor
- Teaser note: West, 31, pops up in the trailer in NYC, chatting with Amanda (he calls her "Mandy"), which has fans side-eyeing the timeline
The triangle that lit the match
Quick rewind: Ciara Miller, 30, and West dated in 2023. During filming last summer (2025), they admitted there were still feelings. Then West kissed a random girl basically in front of Ciara in an April episode and caught heat from the cast. By the Tuesday, April 21 episode, Ciara and West seemed to patch things up on camera.
Cut to real life: West and Amanda confirmed they're dating in March, which is why that In the City trailer cameo is getting picked apart frame by frame.
"It was never our intention to purposely hide anything."
That's from West and Amanda's joint Instagram Story explaining how this went public.
Where Kyle lands in all this
Kyle finally weighed in on April 1 via a three-part TikTok interview. He said he once gave West a "hall pass" for being a little too handsy with Amanda in the past. Now that West is actually dating his ex, Kyle's reassessing how comfortable he is with how touchy things were back then.
Ciara's future with Bravo is murky
Per the insider, Ciara is undecided about returning to Summer House at all. She's considered stepping away to focus on other projects, a move similar to close friend Paige DeSorbo, 33, who exited ahead of season 10. Ciara did come back to the Hamptons with Amanda for the current season, and she told Glamour on Friday, April 17, that she and West were working on rebuilding a friendship before the Amanda news hit. They had even set some ground rules, including one big one:
"No more sleeping with people on Bravo." And then: "Obviously, now that's out the window."
Another source says Ciara has told friends she'll accept West and Amanda if it turns out to be real, long-term love and would return to the show to try to move forward. If it flames out as a fling, she doesn't plan to forgive them and says it won't have been worth the fallout. Either way, the bridge with Amanda looks burned: she doesn't see a friendship or trust there coming back.
The bottom line
Between a core cast reshuffle, a new city spinoff getting the spotlight, and a love triangle that spilled into multiple shows, Bravo seems ready to reboot the Summer House universe in real time. Messy? Absolutely. But also the kind of chaos that tends to drive ratings.
Bravo hasn't commented on the behind-the-scenes shake-up as of now. Summer House airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
