Sophie Beador Works at NBC—So Why Is She Steering Clear of Bravo?

Shannon Beador’s oldest, Sophie, is in the family business… just not the part you think. She’s at NBCUniversal, but she’s not angling for Bravo cameras or a debut on some splashy spinoff. In fact, she’s actively avoiding that lane.

So what is Sophie actually doing?

On Gia Giudice’s podcast, Casual Chaos, during the Monday, May 4 episode, 23-year-old Sophie said she’s on the business side at NBCUniversal, working in ad sales. If you need the corporate map: NBCUniversal is Bravo’s parent company, and Bravo is home to The Real Housewives of Orange County, where Shannon has been a cast member since season 9 back in 2014. Translation: Sophie and her mom technically work under the same roof, just in very different hallways.

Sophie said it ’s been cool to see the company from the business angle and admitted people at work do bring up her mom. A lot. Shannon’s face is on TV screens and in promo materials around the office, so coworkers have asked if Sophie would ever slide over to the Bravo side. She’s thought about it… and landed on a hard pass for now.

Fair. Also relevant: fans have been convinced Sophie might pop up on Next Gen LA, but based on what she said here, that’s not happening anytime soon.

Would she ever work with Bravo at all?

If she did make the switch, Sophie said she’d absolutely pitch her mom for campaigns and promos. She already has friends inside Bravo who help run BravoCon and similar projects. One friend has even pitched Shannon for opportunities, which Sophie admits is fun to hear about from a safe, non-nepotism-adjacent distance.

Where the Beador kids are now

• Sophie, 23: Graduated from Baylor University in May 2024, moved to New York that fall, and is currently a digital sales planner at NBC Sports (per her LinkedIn).
• Adeline, 21: Also in New York City, studying at Parsons School of Design, set to be a junior in 2025.
• Stella, 21: Enrolled at the University of Southern California but living in Paris through a transfer program; planning to complete her degree there. She’s doing all four years in Paris and even picked up a job giving tours. Also a rising junior.

Family context

Shannon (62) and ex-husband David Beador (61) were married from 2000 to 2017 and share the three daughters. David also has a younger daughter, Anna, 5, with his wife, Lesley.

Shannon’s 2025 update on the girls

Speaking to The Daily Dish in 2025, Shannon said two of the three living in New York makes visits easy. She noted Sophie just hit the one-year mark at her job, Adeline is heading into junior year at Parsons, and Stella is happily locked into her Paris plan and work giving tours. Everyone’s thriving, and yes, mom loves visiting all three.

Bottom line: Sophie’s in the NBC universe, not the Bravo spotlight, and she seems perfectly happy keeping work and mom’s reality fame in separate lanes. Honestly, that makes sense.
