Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, along with their adoptive parents Tom and Maddie Wachowski, celebrate the anniversary of the blue hedgehog's arrival on Earth. At the same time, another guest from outer space is awakened from fifty years of suspended animation – Sonic's black double, Shadow.

Barely opening his eyes, the antagonist begins wreaking havoc in Tokyo, and the secret organization GUN needs the help of the colorful trio.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Picks up Where the First Two Films Left Off

Jeff Fowler, the permanent director of the Sonic trilogy, continues to gain momentum as he juggles characters and timelines. Shadow's mind keeps returning to 50 years ago, when, unlike his blue brother, the character fell not into the good hands of a simple-minded sheriff, but into an underground research complex.

Experiments with a power inaccessible to humanity ended in disaster, of course, resulting in the death of the only soul close to the alien, the preservation of the test subject and, as a result, the delayed revenge of the black hedgehog.

Jim Carrey Shines in Two Roles at Once

It could not do without Dr. Robotnik, played by Jim Carrey, who meets his only relative in the new part – Professor Gerald Robotnik.

Both characters, with their grotesqueness, are embodied on screen by an incomparable comedian: perhaps the funniest moments of the movie are associated with them.

Ivo emerges from the crisis, finds the family that the lonely villain so desperately needs, experiences catharsis and finally shows his true face, capable of moving fans, if not to tears, then at least to sincere affection.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Is Dedicated to Family

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 raises the stakes. The characters and their adversaries cleverly switch places as the plot unfolds, chases follow one another, and the final battle sends the characters into space.

However, special effects are not the only thing the creators of the project will use to attract viewers. The new part of Sonic is completely dedicated to the family.

The titular hero continues to learn the value of loved ones, and Shadow acts as a distorted reflection of the protagonist, reminding us of what Sonic could have become if his kind-hearted friends had not been around. Even Dr. Robotnik gets a chance to feel what it means to be involved in family ties.
