RHOC Star Meghan King Reveals She Had Plastic Surgery to Look Her Age — Here’s Why
Meghan King, 41, is getting real about age-defying tweaks, revealing on Instagram Stories that a three-pronged cosmetic routine has made a profound difference in helping her keep her look the same for longer.
Meghan King is back to talking about her tweaks. The former RHOC star, now 41, just walked through a new round of eye-focused work on Instagram, and she’s very much in the small, strategic changes camp.
What she just did
On Wednesday, April 22, King posted on her Stories about a three-part refresh aimed at keeping her face and eyes looking, in her words, same-age for as long as possible. She flew from NYC to Raleigh to see Dr. Heather Levites (you might know her as @levitylifts) and came away raving about the results.
- Upper blepharoplasty: an upper eyelid lift to clean up sagging skin
- Undereye fat grafting: moving a little of her own fat to the tear-trough area to smooth hollows
- UltraClear laser under the eyes: a resurfacing treatment to tighten and even out texture
"I still look like the exact same person."
She added that the before photo is hard for her to look at now, which tells you how big the change feels to her even if it ’s not dramatic to the outside world. Over on Levites’ account, the surgeon posted side-by-sides framing the outcome as subtle and preventative but still a meaningful lift: brighter eyes, smoother skin, and volume restored in a way that reads natural.
The context: she’s been open about all of it
This isn’t new territory for King. Back in 2022, she had what she called a mommy makeover: a breast augmentation plus a nose job. At the time, she told Us Weekly (September 2022) that she felt completely at ease and came out looking like a natural, slightly enhanced version of herself, and she praised her surgeon, Dr. Niccole, for his artistry.
Before that surgery, in July 2022, she posted a cheeky Instagram update teasing that new boobs were on the way, pairing a swipe-vs-reality vibe with a Monday survival joke and asking followers how they felt about it. She and ex-husband Jim Edmonds share three kids — daughter Aspen (2016) and twins Hart and Hayes (2018) — so the makeover framed as post-baby maintenance tracked with her followers.
By January 2023, she walked fans through recovery and intent: she wanted her breast fullness and some cleavage back, and since she was already under anesthesia, she had the tip of her nose lightly refined. She explained that her wide chest sometimes made her feel more masculine on the outside even though she feels feminine, so the enhancements were about aligning the mirror with how she feels. She also made a point of saying that being transparent about cosmetic work still fits her personal definition of authenticity — even if that evolves.
Bottom line
King’s current playbook is incremental: a few well-placed procedures with a surgeon she trusts — enough to hop a plane for — that keep her looking like herself, just a little more rested. And based on her track record, expect her to keep bringing everyone along for the ride, before pics and all.
