Rebecca Hall, Millie Bobby Brown honor Kaylee Hottle, 18, Godzilla vs. Kong star
Following news of Kaylee Hottle’s death, her Monsterverse co-stars led a wave of tributes on Instagram and X.
News of Kaylee Hottle’s death came from her father, who shared in American Sign Language on Facebook on Tuesday that the 18-year-old actress had died in a car accident. Within hours, messages from her Godzilla and Kong colleagues and fans began filling social media.
Two of the young star’s best-known collaborators, Rebecca Hall and Millie Bobby Brown, posted personal remembrances. Hall played the adoptive mother of Hottle’s character in the MonsterVerse films and shared photos from set alongside a short note.
“Devastated to hear this news. My heart goes out to your family. You will be missed Kaylee.”
Brown, who worked with Hottle on 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong after first appearing in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, added her own tribute on Instagram Stories.
“I’m so devastated to hear this. You will be deeply missed Kaylee.”

Hottle broke out as Jia, a deaf, orphaned Indigenous Iwi girl rescued by Kong on Skull Island, in Godzilla vs. Kong (2021). She returned to the role in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
