Series based on a Stephen King story and the best MCU TV show.

Telepaths are beloved by filmmakers and viewers because they can do things people can only dream of: read other people's minds or see the future.

However, this gift often becomes a curse and a reason for their isolation from society.

1. Legion, 2017-2019

The Marvel Universe has a long history of heroes who can read other people's minds, and one of them is Legion, David Haller, the son of Charles Xavier. Haller suffers from multiple personality disorder, and each of his alter egos has supernatural powers.

Jemail is responsible for telepathy. Legion uses telepathy to interact with other characters, but his powers are often unstable and difficult to control.

Throughout the series, David struggles with himself, making Legion a powerful metaphor for a person's struggle with mental health.

2. Heroes, 2006-2010

In 2006, before the MCU was even born, NBC began airing Heroes, a show about ordinary people who suddenly discover they have supernatural abilities.

One of the main characters, dyslexic police officer Matt, has the gift of telepathy, which becomes a tool for investigating crimes and solving mysteries. As in other movies and shows about people with superpowers, a mysterious organization tries to control the heroes.

3. The Stand, 2020-2021

In the miniseries based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King, a new pandemic wipes out most of humanity. The survivors gather in two communes.

One is led by the Dark Man named Randall, possibly an emissary of the devil, the other by a 108-year-old nun named Mother Abagail. She establishes a telepathic connection with her followers, calling people through their dreams to the city of Boulder, Colorado.

The Dark Man calls his people to Las Vegas. Abagail's telepathic abilities serve as a tool to unite her followers and prepare them to confront the forces of darkness represented by Randall.

4. Misfits, 2009-2013

Five teenage delinquents, strangers to each other, are doing community service when a sudden storm and lightning strike reveal superpowers ranging from invisibility to immortality.

Kelly, a rude but kind girl at heart, receives the gift of telepathy. She can hear the thoughts of other people – children, adults, and animals – which often helps her in various situations, turning her friends into an open book and revealing their motives.

At the end of the second season, Kelly sells her gift to a reseller for 20 thousand pounds, tries to get it back, and then gives up her intentions, preferring a new superpower – knowledge of rocket science, which she uses to hack technology.
