Hours after addressing reports she was escorted off a plane, Natasha Lyonne posted a low-angle Instagram selfie with a cheeky, cryptic caption: Boobies on the inside.

Natasha Lyonne had one of those weeks: a splashy TV premiere, a red-eye that went sideways, and a cryptic Instagram that did not exactly calm the waters.

The plane situation

According to an eyewitness account reported by Page Six, the 47-year-old 'Poker Face' star was asked to get off a Delta red-eye from Los Angeles to New York late Tuesday, April 7 — only hours after she showed up at the 'Euphoria ' season 3 premiere. The witness says Lyonne was in first class and seemed out of it before takeoff, not responding when flight attendants asked her more than once to close her laptop and buckle up. At one point she looked like she was dozing, got startled, and blurted something along the lines of being scared.

While the plane was taxiing, a staffer reportedly took her laptop. Then the flight headed back to the gate, where a Delta employee boarded and asked if she needed medical help and to please come off the aircraft. Per the witness, Lyonne asked where they were and was told they were still in L.A. and not moving until she deplaned. She allegedly shushed the gate agent, ducked into the bathroom, came out with a bag of pretzels, grabbed her luggage, and walked off.

The captain then addressed the cabin with a basic explanation: a passenger wasn’t following instructions and would be rebooked, and the airline apologized for the delay. The flight took off about an hour late and made it to New York without any more drama.

Her posts after

On Thursday, April 9, Lyonne hopped on X with a message that read like solidarity for airport staff and a nod to a missed TV spot:

"My heart is with all the unpaid TSA agents at our airports. 💞
Sure was looking forward to speaking honestly with @DrewBarrymore yesterday but guess wasn’t in the cards."

(She was reportedly slated to tape 'The Drew Barrymore Show' on Wednesday, April 8.)

Then came the Instagram

Also on Thursday, Lyonne posted a low-angle selfie on Instagram with the caption: 'Boobies on the inside.' She’s in a red long-sleeve top, light-toned sunglasses, her red curls framing her face, and holding a quilted red YSL bag to match. Fans flooded the comments with a mix of love and worry — a lot of please-take-care-of-yourself notes, reminders that she’s had some highs and lows lately, and general we-love-you energy.

The timeline, cleaned up

  • Tue, Apr 7: After attending the 'Euphoria' season 3 premiere, Lyonne boards a red-eye from LA to NY. Crew say she won’t stow the laptop or buckle up; plane returns to gate; she deplanes. Flight leaves about an hour late without further issues.
  • Wed, Apr 8: She was reportedly due on 'The Drew Barrymore Show' but implies she didn’t make it.
  • Thu, Apr 9: She posts the X note above and the cryptic Instagram selfie.

Context that matters

Lyonne has been open about addiction and recovery for years. In January, she told followers on X that she had relapsed after a decade sober and reminded anyone struggling that recovery is ongoing and they aren’t alone. In March, she said she was doing a lot better and thanked both recovery communities and fans for sticking by her.

Bottom line: the airport incident sounds messy and probably embarrassing, but not catastrophic. Lyonne’s public posts since then feel part deflection, part honesty, and fans are clearly still in her corner.
