The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Demi Engemann turned her Fruity Pebbles sex scandal into a punchline on YouTube’s Unwell Winter Games on Tuesday, April 7, riffing after a round of urinal-cake jokes.

The Fruity Pebbles saga is still alive and well, and Demi Engemann just decided to lean into it. If you thought the joke had run its course, nope — she took it for another lap on YouTube this week.

What Demi said this week

On Tuesday, April 7, during the YouTube series 'Unwell Winter Games', the cast started cracking jokes about urinal cakes. Demi (31) jumped right in, calling herself 'the pee girl' and, when pressed, 'the fruity pebbles girl.' Then she spelled it out, saying it happened during a drunk moment and she honestly thought it was… normal, given that, you know, golden showers exist.

'I peed in my husband’s mouth. I thought that was normal.'

She has heard the 'freak' label and does not seem particularly bothered, basically shrugging and suggesting there has to be weirder stuff out there.

How we got here: the Fruity Pebbles of it all

If you missed Season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives (premiered September 2024), there was a prank where Whitney Leavitt handed Demi a box of Fruity Pebbles. Viewers eventually connected that cereal to a private sexual experience Demi and her husband, Bret Engemann (47), had — either named after or involving Fruity Pebbles — which they refused to spell out on camera. Back then, Demi told Us Weekly the reveal caused some tension at home at first, but once it blew up online, they decided to just have fun with the bit. Their stance has been consistent: they are keeping the specifics a mystery, they did not expect it to go viral, and it has since turned into a running joke they are happy to keep alive without giving a tutorial.

The feud that blew it open

Things escalated in November 2025 when Demi’s costar Jessi Draper got into a public spat with her and took aim at Demi’s sex life on Instagram Stories. Draper alleged that Bret literally drinks Demi’s urine, said he chugs it like a dirty soda, and declared that is what 'fruity pebbles' means. Shortly after, Demi responded with a statement calling it pretty telling that Jessi was dragging this back into the spotlight only after Jessi’s own affair became public. (For context: in November 2025, Jessi admitted to an emotional affair with 'Vanderpump Villa' alum Marciano Brunette during a rough patch with her husband, Jordan Ngatikaura.) Demi also emphasized that what she and Bret did happened once, in private, with consent — and she was not about to let a consensual moment in her marriage distract from someone else’s behavior that she did not consent to.

Quick refresher timeline

  • September 2024: Season 1 premieres; Whitney’s Fruity Pebbles prank lands; Demi and Bret’s cereal-adjacent bedroom mystery becomes a storyline they refuse to explain.
  • Late 2024: Demi tells Us Weekly there was initial tension, then they leaned into the joke while keeping specifics under wraps.
  • November 2025: Jessi Draper, amid her own affair fallout, claims on IG that 'fruity pebbles' equals Demi’s pee play; Demi claps back and reiterates consent and privacy.
  • April 7 (this week): On 'Unwell Winter Games', Demi jokes she is 'the pee girl' and matter-of-factly says she peed in Bret’s mouth during a drunk moment.

Where it stands now

Demi is clearly done pretending this isn’t a thing — she is joking about it, owning it, and still not drawing a diagram for anyone. The mystery stays; the meme lives on. And if you were hoping for a step-by-step breakdown of whatever 'fruity pebbles' technically is, they are still not giving it to you.
