Meet the parents: Aubrey Plaza and Christopher Abbott welcome their first child
Big life news for Aubrey Plaza and Christopher Abbott—their family just got bigger.
Spotted in New York, Aubrey Plaza was photographed cradling an infant during a low-key walk, and TMZ reports a source says she and Christopher Abbott welcomed a baby in the last week of July. Neither actor has commented publicly, and no details like a name or birth date have been shared.
The pair have kept their relationship private even as they’ve spent plenty of time working together. They first teamed up on the 2020 indie Black Bear, then reunited for an Off-Broadway revival of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, which ran from late 2023 into 2024.

While friends and co-stars have largely stayed quiet since the baby news surfaced, Chris Pratt offered congratulations when asked earlier this year about Plaza’s pregnancy, calling his former Parks and Rec castmate a natural fit for parenthood.
“She’s going to be a fantastic mother, ” he said at the Beverage Forum. “She’s a very caring person. It ’s gonna be an amazing chapter for her. We’re all very excited for her.”
Pratt and Plaza famously played April Ludgate and Andy Dwyer on Parks and Recreation from 2009 to 2015. As of now, Plaza and Abbott have not issued a statement or shared a photo of the baby.
