Matt Damon floored as Tom Holland admits he’s never seen The Matrix

File this under delightful press-tour chaos: Matt Damon just found out Tom Holland has never seen The Matrix, and his reaction was exactly the kind of stunned older-brother energy you hope for.

The moment: Damon picks The Matrix, Holland hasn't seen it

During a taping of Complex's GOAT Talk, Damon named The Matrix as a movie he wishes he could have been in, praising how wildly ahead of its time it was and how perfectly Keanu Reeves led the whole thing. Then Holland casually dropped that he has, in fact, never watched it. Damon stared him down, asked if he was serious, and then turned the shock into envy.

"Are you f****** kidding me? I'm so jealous you get to see that for the first time. I wonder if it'll feel as groundbreaking to you as so much has been subsequently based on it."

Holland didn't have a dramatic reason for the blind spot — he said it's just one of those films he somehow never pressed play on, even though he fully expects to love it.
