Love Island USA Star Nic Sets the Record Straight on Keeping His Olandria Romance Off Social Media
After finding love with Olandria Carthen on reality TV, Nic Vansteenberghe says the oversharing era is over — the 24/7 cameras left him pressured, and now he’s setting hard boundaries.
Nic Vansteenberghe is doing the rare reality-TV move: keeping a real relationship mostly offline. He and Olandria Carthen are still very much a thing, headed toward a one-year mark, and he sounds pretty happy to let the internet wonder while he lives his life.
Privacy mode, relationship intact
Catching up at the CELSIUS soccer classic draft dinner on Tuesday, April 21, Nic, 24, admitted that being filmed around the clock made it feel like he had to share everything right after the show. Now? Not so much. He has cooled way down on posting, which he knows frustrates the 'Nicolandria Nation' that rallied around him and Olandria, 27, after their Love Island USA season last summer.
'Lately, I haven't been posting anything... sorry to not give you crumbs, Nicolandria Nation. But you know, mama and papa will be there for you.'
Nic and Olandria skipped the Beyond the Villa spinoff, but behind the scenes they are apparently steady. He says they are closing in on a year together — what he calls a real milestone — and jokes that they have already been through the trenches of post-show life.
Anniversary plans? Expect extra
He would not spill on how they will celebrate (shocking, given the whole privacy thing), but he teased that he tends to go big, Olandria goes bigger, and together 'Nicolandria' does, well, the most. Translation: whatever they are cooking up is not going to be subtle.
