Fresh off his Love Island USA exit, Corbin breaks his silence, weighs in on CorbinGPT, and reveals where things stand with Parmida as the finale nears.

Love Island USA does not need much to spin a tiny spark into a bonfire. Case in point: Corbin Mims. One minute he is building something with Parmida and trying to ride out the fallout from movie night; the next, he is bounced after a karaoke face-off. Now that he is out, he is talking about it, and the backstory makes the exit sting a little more.

Corbin on leaving: karaoke, cringe, and that 'CorbinGPT' nickname

Corbin walked Variety through the whole thing — his elimination, the friendships he made in the villa, and how the internet turned him into 'CorbinGPT' for being a little too calm and polished on camera.

'Bro, that was probably the worst way to leave the villa! It was humiliating.'

He was talking about the karaoke showdown that sent him and Parmida home while Kayda and Zach stayed. Tough way to go out: karaoke, of all things.

As for the nickname, he says it started as a joke about how he carries himself, and he is not mad at the memes. 'It is funny because I am just being me at the end of the day,' he told Variety. Honestly, fair enough — if you are composed in that villa, people are going to assume you were built in a lab.

Where things stand with Parmida

Corbin says the exit did not shake his confidence in what he and Parmida had. He thinks it can keep going outside the show, and he did not hedge about it: 'I see this connection going super far.'

Why her? He points to honesty, ambition, an entrepreneurial mindset, and values that line up — especially a shared preference for being direct instead of skirting hard conversations. If you watched the post–movie night mess, that tracks.

Viewers were not exactly thrilled to see that pair leave either. One fan put it bluntly on July 6: Corbin and Parmida should not have been the ones to go.

Meanwhile: the finale is set, and the $100k is in sight

With Corbin out, the show has locked in its Season 8 final four after a vote from America. Two couples — Kenzie and Dylan, plus Titi and KC — were sent home following a family- style dinner reveal. The remaining islanders now head into Sunday’s finale, where each couple gets one last romantic date before the winners are announced from fourth place up to first. Voting ran on the app for a limited window, so if you did not watch live on elimination day, you probably learned the result the hard way on social.

It is a fun mix to end on: mostly day-one connections, plus a late bombshell and a comeback story. Here is who is left:

  • Trinity and Bryce — originals who weathered the season together
  • Aniya and Carl — another day-one duo, with Carl returning post–Casa Amor thanks to viewer support
  • Melanie and Sincere — originals who made it all the way
  • Kayda and Zach — Kayda arrived later as a bombshell and stuck the landing

Four couples, $100,000 on the line, and one last round of dates before the final verdict. Who are you backing — and did Corbin and Parmida get done dirty on that karaoke exit?
