With Season 3 confirmed and filming approaching, the biggest question on fans' minds is who's coming back and who isn't.

Paramount+ has not released a full cast list for Season 3, but between interviews and plot logic, we've got a fairly clear picture.

Confirmed to return

Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris is the safest bet on the board. Despite rumours that he was exiting the show (sparked by a dramatic Season 2 twist), Thornton shut them down firmly. In an interview with USA Today, he called the reports "AI- generated crap" and said he'd be with the series "as long as it plays out — if it's five years, great, if it's six, I'm there." He originally signed on expecting a multi-season run.

Sam Elliott as TL (Tommy's father) has expressed enthusiasm for Season 3 and reportedly had a two-year deal with the show before the renewal even came through.

Expected to return (not officially confirmed)

Based on where the Season 2 story left off, the following cast members are widely expected back:

  • Demi Moore as Cami Miller — now running M-Tex Oil after firing Tommy, her character is central to the Season 3 conflict. That said, co-creator Christian Wallace gave a deliberately vague answer when asked directly, saying there are "so many different opportunities and ways this can play out."
  • Andy Garcia as Gallino Morrell — his investment in Tommy's new company makes him a key figure going forward.
  • Ali Larter as Angela Norris
  • Jacob Lofland as Cooper Norris
  • Michelle Randolph as Ainsley Norris
  • Paulina Chavez, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Mark Collie, and Colm Feore are all expected to reprise their roles.

Definitely not returning

Jon Hamm as Monty Miller. Monty died in the Season 1 finale after a heart transplant, and Hamm's departure was always part of the plan — the actor had limited availability and the storyline was designed around that. Any future appearance would be limited to flashbacks at most.
