Season 4 of Sullivan’s Crossing is already reeling from Scott Patterson’s exit — and a new social clip teases another shake-up, as Lola (Amalia Williamson) confides in Maggie (Morgan Kohan) and Sydney (Lindura Sappong) about a decision that could change everything.

Season 4 of Sullivan's Crossing is already navigating life without Sully, and now the show is teasing that we might be down another series regular. A new clip has fans asking the obvious: is Lola about to bounce too?

So... did we just lose Lola too?

On Thursday, April 2, the show's social accounts dropped a sneak peek where Lola (Amalia Williamson) opens up to Maggie (Morgan Kohan) and Sydney (Lindura Sappong) about, well, getting out of town. She lays out the situation: her internship is gone, she misses Jacob, and there is a standing invite to meet him in Calgary and help him collect samples in the Rockies. Also, she has never left Nova Scotia, which, if you know Lola, tracks.

'Maybe losing my internship isn't such a bad thing after all... Now there's nothing stopping me from visiting Jacob in Calgary.'

She calls it a summer fling that turned into something more, which is one of those phrases TV uses right before a character tries a new zip code. The caption on the post did not exactly calm anyone down either: it read 'We will miss you, Lola' alongside the on-screen prompt 'Is this goodbye?'

If you are in the U.S., you will not get an answer immediately. Canadian viewers are already into Season 4, but stateside the episode with this scene will not air until later this month, which is why the comments are split between people guessing Lola is just stepping away temporarily (some pointed to Williamson's real-life pregnancy) and people annoyed they have to wait to find out.

Quick refresher on Sully: how we got here

In March, ahead of the Season 4 launch, Us Weekly reported that Scott Patterson, 67, would not be back as Sully this year. The official line from executive producer and showrunner Roma Roth is that Sully is still very much part of the world, just not physically around right now.

'Season 3 of Sullivan's Crossing ended with Sully leaving for Ireland... While he isn't physically present in this season, the character remains an important part of the world with the potential to be included in future seasons should that align with the ongoing creative.'

Patterson, for his part, hinted at a different story. On Instagram, he said the creative differences became too big to bridge and pushed back on any narrative that the show chose to move on from him.

'The creative differences were becoming untenable... It is now being implied that they moved on from me/Sully when the fact is the complete opposite.'

So yes, the situation is messy: the producers leave the door open; the actor says it was not his call. Either way, Season 4 moves forward without Sully on screen, picking up the day after his Ireland departure.
