The hour’s most awkward opponent isn’t West Ham or Manchester City — it ’s a dating prompt. Ted downloads Bantr and immediately freezes at the app’s “describe yourself in three words” question, a tiny box that feels ten sizes too small. Beard breezes past in a crisp new shirt — and, hilariously, startlingly blue eyes — while Ted spirals so hard he winds up asking Keeley Jones to sit with him and build the rest of his profile. The exercise hits a nerve; as he talks through who he is, Ted actually tears up.
He tries out “hopeful, resilient, kind,” then admits those words are really Keeley’s. The three-word box keeps blinking back at him all day until, much later, he lands on a single answer that feels right.

With the agent’s gambit exposed and Dani’s contract drama neutralized, Richmond steadies. Ted, meanwhile, ditches Bantr for a real-world swing: he heads to the theater to ask out the stage manager he’s been eyeing — only to learn she’s already seeing someone.
