Inside The Voice Season 30: Coaches, Twists, and Everything We Know So Far
The Voice storms back for a milestone season, the U.S. smash born from Dutch hit The Voice of Holland, as four star coaches build their teams and battle to crown one singer with a $100,000 payday and a record deal.
The Voice turns 30 this fall. Yep, three-zero. After a buzzy season 29 finish, NBC is stacking the chairs with some very familiar faces and a couple of first-timers. If you want the short version: Adam Levine is sticking around, Kelly Clarkson is back in the mix, and Queen Latifah and Riley Green are joining the party. Here’s what matters and why.
Quick refresher
The Voice launched in the U.S. in April 2011, adapted from the Dutch original, The Voice of Holland. The setup hasn’t changed: four artists coach teams through blind auditions, battles, and live shows. One winner walks off with $100,000 and a record deal with Universal Music Group.
How season 29 wrapped
Adam Levine’s team took the crown with Alexia Jayy, who beat out Team Kelly Clarkson’s Mikenley Brown and Liv Ciara, plus Team John Legend’s Lucas West in the Top 4 finale in April. That win gives Levine four titles overall (he also won seasons 1, 5, and 9). During the finale he praised Jayy with a simple line that landed:
"There is no one more deserving of this honor."
Who is coaching in season 30
- Adam Levine — Back again after winning season 29. He was an original coach from seasons 1 through 16 before exiting in May 2019, then returned for season 27 in 2025 alongside John Legend, Kelsea Ballerini, and Michael Buble. He’s pretty clear about his plans:
"I will be back. I’m having so much fun doing it. Since I came back a few seasons ago, it’s just been a blast, and I’m super happy to keep it going as long as they’ll have me."
- Kelly Clarkson — Returning this fall. She previously served on seasons 14 through 21, popped back in for season 23, stepped away to relocate to New York, and most recently coached on season 29. NBC even nudged fans on Instagram that Team Kelly is re-entering the chat.
- Queen Latifah — Making her Voice debut. NBC announced in May 2026 that she’ll join the season 30 lineup.
- Riley Green — Also new to the show for season 30. The country singer teased the gig on Instagram with a coach joke and a see-ya-this-fall vibe.
Premiere window
The Voice season 30 is set for fall 2026. NBC hasn’t locked a specific premiere date yet, so consider this your heads-up and not your calendar invite.
