Inside Martin Lawrence's Family: Meet His Three Daughters and Their Moms

Comedy royalty just added a new heir. Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy are now sharing grandpa duties thanks to their kids, Jasmin Lawrence and Eric Murphy, who just welcomed a baby girl.

Eddie confirmed the happy news in April 2026, saying the couple had their daughter earlier that month and giving us her name:

"They just had a baby girl... They just had her two weeks ago, or a week ago. Yeah, Ari Skye."

Martin was already in granddad mode back in February 2026 when he posted that he was feeling grateful and blessed about becoming a first-time grandfather, calling family everything and cheering Jasmin and Eric on as they stepped into parenthood.

• Patricia Southall - Martin married Southall in 1995 and they split in 1997. She founded Treasure You, a support group aimed at helping women find their passion, and she runs Pat Smith Enterprise as CEO. Before all that, she won Miss Virginia USA in late 1993 and finished first runner-up at Miss USA 1994. In April 2000, she married NFL legend Emmitt Smith; they have three children together, and she is also stepmom to his daughter Rheagen from a previous relationship. Southall and Martin have stayed on good terms as coparents. In 2023, she posted a long message praising his career, work ethic, the opportunities he has created for others, his love for family, and his faith.
• Jasmin Lawrence - Martin and Southall welcomed Jasmin in 1996. She graduated from Duke University in 2018 and has been building an acting career with credits in Bad Boys for Life, Relatively Famous: Ranch Rules, and Family Time. Jasmin started dating Eric Murphy around 2021, they got engaged in November 2024, married in May 2025, and just had their daughter, Ari Skye, in April 2026.
• Shamicka Gibbs - Martin started dating entrepreneur, chef, and TV personality Gibbs in 1997, not long after his split from Southall. She later appeared on VH1's Hollywood Exes. They had two daughters together - Iyanna in 2000 and Amara in 2002 - married in 2010, and divorced in 2012.
