Impractical Jokers is heading into season 13 with Sal, Q, and Murr still pranking, while Joe Gatto — who left in 2021 — has ruled out a return and stepped away from the public eye after a 2025 assault allegation. Here's where all four Jokers are now.
Impractical Jokers has been on television since 2011, which means there are legal adults who have never known a world where four guys from Staten Island weren't publicly humiliating each other for our benefit. Except it hasn't been four guys for a while now — and that's the part everyone keeps googling.
The three who never stopped
Sal Vulcano, Brian "Q" Quinn, and James "Murr" Murray are, remarkably, still at it. After 12 seasons and 287 episodes, the show — now on TBS — was renewed for season 13 in March 2026 . When Joe left, the remaining trio chose not to replace him permanently, instead rotating in celebrity guests like Eric André and carrying on as a threesome. Fans argue endlessly about whether the formula survived the amputation. The ratings gods, apparently, have kept voting yes.
The fourth chair
Joe Gatto announced his exit on New Year's Eve 2021 with an Instagram post explaining he was splitting from his wife, Bessy: "due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away," he wrote, saying he needed to focus on co-parenting their kids. (The couple later reconciled in 2023.)
Since then, he's built a solo stand-up career and made one thing extremely clear — he's not coming back. As he told TheWrap in January 2025, via TV Insider:
"I've moved on from the show, the show has moved on from me."
Then 2025 happened
In March 2025, a TikTok user alleged that Gatto sexually assaulted her in 2023, when she was 19. Gatto denied it in a statement to Variety, acknowledging "poor judgment" but insisting that "anyone who knows me at all knows full well that I wouldn't assault anyone." Days later, he canceled his remaining tour dates and announced he would "voluntarily enter an in-patient program to continue working on myself."
