How do the Insidious: Out of the Further cast’s estimated net worths stack up — from horror icon Lin Shaye to the franchise’s rising stars?

Director Jacob Chase moves the action out of the attic and straight into the neighborhood this time. The new story follows Gemma, a young mom who goes back to her childhood home with her daughter and discovers she can slip into the Further — and, crucially, drag things back out of it. Instead of hauntings contained to astral projection, the film lets that shadow realm leak into everyday suburban life.

It’s the franchise ’s first major reset since The Red Door, trading the Lambert family saga for a fresh family while keeping the same night-terror rules and the ominous red door. The movie is produced by Blumhouse and Screen Gems.

In theaters August 21, 2026.

New faces, familiar nightmares

The new ensemble blends Insidious mainstay Lin Shaye with rising names from horror and genre hits. Their reported fortunes vary widely, too — a curiosity for a series that’s always been about scares more than star wattage.

  • Lin Shaye — longtime Elise Rainier; estimated $3–$4 million (“Godmother of Horror,” and the wealthiest among the core cast)
  • Maisie Richardson-Sellers — around $2 million; credits include DC ’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Kissing Booth sequels, The Talamasca, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens
  • Brandon Perea — under $1 million; broke out with Nope and returned to multiplexes with Twisters
  • Amelia Eve — under $1 million; remembered for The Haunting of Bly Manor

For comparison, some of the franchise’s legacy leads rank higher on the money charts: Patrick Wilson is reportedly worth $7–$10 million, and Rose Byrne’s career across blockbusters and comedies puts her in an even bigger range. Insidious: Out of the Further, though, is designed to stand apart from the Lamberts and their story.

The Further, reconfigured

Created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell, the Further has haunted this series for over a decade. Out of the Further tweaks the rules by weakening the barrier between worlds, so the evil that used to stalk sleeping travelers can now punch through into waking life. Expect the same slow-burn dread with a new family at the center of it.

A Los Angeles premiere is listed for August 18 on a local schedule circulating on social media; the nationwide theatrical release follows on August 21, 2026.
