Pretty soon, on July 26, a heavy winter storm will hit Netflix with the arrival of the sixth and penultimate season of The Dragon Prince, much to the delight of fans of the animated fantasy show crafted by Justin Richmond and Aaron Ehasz.
The upcoming nine episodes will mark the end of the second saga of the series and become the second chapter to be released in July. Why is this important? Because it gives fans a chance to celebrate the birthdays of two major characters while enjoying new twists in the story involving them.
That's right, Prince Callum and the moonshadow elf Rayla both celebrate their birthdays in July. His is on the 15th and hers is on the 31st. But how old are they going to be after that, exactly? And how old will Ezran (who had his birthday on March 19th) and other main characters of The Dragon Prince be in Season 6? Let's try to find out.
The Dragon Prince In-Universe Timeline
To calculate the ages of Ezran, Callum, and other characters in The Dragon Prince, we need to figure out how much time has passed since Season 1. The first three chapters, which make up Phase 1 of the saga, take place over a short three-week period in May.
The exact year is unknown, but if we were to guess, the world of The Dragon Prince is closest to the historical late medieval period in Europe, which was around the 1400s. When Phase 2 premiered with Season 4 in November 2022, many fans were stunned by the two-year time jump between seasons. Our beloved characters have really grown up in that time!
Phase 2 is again set in a rather short period of time. Season 4 started with Callum's birthday (which means it was July 15th) and Season 5 ended in mid-August. Most likely Season 6 will pick up somewhere in these dates.
