Hayden Christensen Eager to Star in Darth Vader Project
Hayden Christensen, known for his role as Anakin Skywalker, has voiced his enthusiasm for a potential Darth Vader series or film and confirmed his return in Ahsoka season 2.
Hayden Christensen, the actor behind Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader, has made it clear he’s ready to step back into the iconic black armor for a new project. During a recent appearance at Fan Expo Chicago, Christensen didn’t hold back about his hopes for a dedicated series or movie centered on the legendary Star Wars villain.
“I would love to, yeah. So if the powers that be decide that that’s something they want to see, I’d be there in a heartbeat,”
he told fans, drawing excitement from the crowd.
Return to the Star Wars Universe
After a 17-year break from the galaxy far, far away, Christensen made a dramatic comeback in the Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries, portraying both Darth Vader and, through flashbacks and visions, Anakin Skywalker. His return was met with enthusiasm from longtime fans who had missed his presence in the franchise.
Christensen’s journey didn’t stop there. He fully embraced his role as Anakin once again in the first season of Ahsoka, appearing in the mystical World Between Worlds alongside his former Padawan, Ahsoka Tano. The actor has now confirmed he’ll be back for the show’s second season, telling attendees at Star Wars Celebration in Japan,
“There’s not much that I can share, but Anakin will be back for season 2.”
Vader’s Legacy and Inspiration
If given another opportunity to portray the infamous Sith Lord, Christensen wants to ensure the character maintains the same menacing presence that captivated audiences in Rogue One. Speaking at Fan Expo Boston, he shared his admiration for the way Vader was depicted in that film.
“I loved how they portrayed Darth Vader in that film,”
he said, acknowledging the many creative minds who have shaped the character over the years.
“There are so many different people that have contributed to this character, and I’m just one of them. I loved what they did.”
With his passion for the role and the support of fans, Christensen’s potential return as Darth Vader remains a thrilling prospect for the Star Wars community.
