City Hall closed, careers skyrocketed. Since Parks and Recreation ended its seven-season run on NBC, Amy Poehler, Nick Offerman, Aziz Ansari, Adam Scott and more have turned fan-favorite status into a streak of hit projects.

For a show about small-town bureaucracy, Parks and Recreation went big. Pawnee closed up shop on TV years ago, but the faces you loved did not vanish. They have kept popping up in plenty of high-profile projects, which tracks for a cast this stacked.

The quick refresher

Parks and Rec ran for seven seasons on NBC, launching in April 2009 and wrapping in February 2015. Across 125 episodes, it leaned hard into the warm-and-weird sweet spot and built a loyal audience that still quotes it like it aired last night.

The crew that made it click

  • Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope
  • Nick Offerman as Ron Swanson
  • Aziz Ansari as Tom Haverford
  • Adam Scott as Ben Wyatt
  • Rashida Jones as Ann Perkins
  • Chris Pratt as Andy Dwyer
  • Aubrey Plaza as April Ludgate
  • Rob Lowe as Chris Traeger
  • Retta as Donna Meagle
  • Jim O'Heir as Jerry Gergich

Hardware and love from the industry

The series and its ensemble pulled in a healthy run of nominations from the Emmys, the Golden Globes, and the Screen Actors Guild Awards. The big individual win: in 2014, Amy Poehler took home the Golden Globe for best actress in a TV comedy or musical. Not bad for a parks department.

Life after Pawnee

Since the finale, the cast has stayed busy with a steady stream of buzzy, high-profile gigs. If you have felt like you keep running into them everywhere, you are not imagining it. The show may be over, but the Parks and Rec footprint is still very much alive.
