From Blockbusters to Bedtime Stories: Inside Chris Pratt’s Life With His Wife and Four Kids
Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt is now a proud dad of four — from welcoming son Jack with ex-wife Anna Faris in 2012 and their 2018 split to building a new chapter with wife Katherine Schwarzenegger.
Chris Pratt saves galaxies on screen, but the guy’s real-life title is Dad of Four. Between co-parenting with ex-wife Anna Faris and life with wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, there’s a lot of history, a few tough medical hurdles, and a pretty tight privacy policy. Here’s the full picture, minus the fluff.
- Jack Pratt (b. Aug 2012) with Anna Faris — born 9 weeks early; tough start, big recovery
- Katherine Schwarzenegger — married Chris in 2019 after meeting in 2018
- Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt (b. Aug 2020)
- Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt (b. May 2022)
- Ford Pratt (b. Nov 2024)
The Anna Faris years
Pratt met Anna Faris back in 2007 while shooting Take Me Home Tonight — the movie didn’t hit theaters until 2011, but their relationship started long before the release. They began dating in 2008, got engaged a few months later, and married in 2009. After eight years of marriage, they announced their separation (that puts the announcement in 2017), and finalized the divorce in 2018.
To their credit, they stuck the landing on co-parenting. Faris talked in early 2018 about making sure their son was surrounded by happiness and support, and both sides have kept things steady and low-drama since.
Jack Pratt
Jack arrived in August 2012 and was named after Faris’s dad. The birth was scary: he came nine weeks early, spent his first month in the NICU, and doctors warned about severe brain bleeding and the possibility of developmental disabilities. Faris later said those first years were a blur of doctor visits, five surgeries, and physical therapy — with plenty of laughter mixed in. By age 2, Jack’s health had taken a big turn for the better.
Pratt and Faris mostly keep Jack off social media. Every so often we get an update, like March 2026, when Pratt brought his now-13-year-old to Japan — a trip he said meant a lot to both of them, especially given Jack’s love of the culture and the food.
Katherine and Chris
Pratt met Katherine Schwarzenegger (yes, Arnold and Maria Shriver’s daughter) through church in 2018. They started dating, got engaged in January 2019, and married six months later.
"6 years ago today, I married my best friend."
That was Pratt on Instagram in June 2025, adding that Katherine has shown him love, grace, and strength — the whole gratitude parade — and that life with her is full of joy, family, and faith.
Lyla
Their first child together, Lyla Maria, was born in August 2020. Pratt and Katherine said they were over the moon and felt incredibly lucky. After baby No. 2 arrived, Pratt mentioned Lyla took to big-sister life fast and loved hanging out with her little sister.
Eloise
Eloise Christina showed up in May 2022. The parents were, again, very grateful and very sleep-deprived — though Pratt called Eloise a "chill" baby who snoozed most of the day. Not a bad rookie season.
Ford
In November 2024, Pratt and Katherine welcomed their third child together, a son named Ford.
"We are overjoyed."
They added that mom and baby were doing well, and Lyla and Eloise were thrilled to meet their brother.
About those kids-on-Instagram rules
Pratt and Schwarzenegger don’t show their kids’ faces online. Katherine explained on Today in 2021 that both she and her siblings grew up with the space to decide when and how public to be, and that’s the same courtesy they want for their kids. Translation: photos, sure — but no identifiable faces until the kids get a vote.
