Paramount may own Nickelodeon, but that hasn’t stopped Paramount+ from shuffling out fan-favorite classics, with a string of animated and live-action staples quietly exiting the platform in recent months.

If you fired up Paramount+ and wondered where half of 'Kenan & Kel' went, good news: the missing seasons are finally coming back. And yes, Kenan and Kel are also cooking up a brand-new project that is very much not a Nickelodeon sitcom.

The missing seasons are back (finally)

For a while there, Paramount+ had seasons 1 and 2 of 'Kenan & Kel' and just... not the rest. Seasons 3 and 4 vanished without a real explanation, which happens more than it should on streamers, even when the parent company (Paramount) owns the brand (Nickelodeon).

That gap closes on April 29, when seasons 3 and 4 hit Paramount+. That means, for the first time in years, all four seasons will actually live in the same place on the platform.

Yes, Kenan and Kel are reuniting — in a monster movie

Separate from the old episodes coming back, Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are teaming up on a new horror- comedy called 'Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein'. It is exactly the kind of throwback title you think it is — a nod to Abbott & Costello taking on classic monsters — and it puts the duo in a totally different lane than the original show.

The setup: two delivery guys stumble into a creepy mansion and accidentally wake Frankenstein's monster. No release date yet, no trailer yet, and it is not confirmed as any sort of continuation of the Nickelodeon series. Kenan revealed the project earlier this year on Amazon 's Prime Video series 'Good Sports' and talked about why it felt right to get the band back together:

'Kel and I have always loved finding new ways to work together, and this project felt like the perfect mix of nostalgia, comedy, and something completely unexpected. Coming back together always feels natural, and this lets us tap into everything people love about our dynamic while trying something totally new.'

The streaming wrinkle

One caveat to all this: the long-term shape of Paramount+ is a little up in the air. There has been industry chatter about bigger deals involving Warner Bros. If anything like that actually goes through, the end result could be a combined streamer that puts the Paramount+ and Max libraries under one umbrella. Translation: content could move again down the line. For now, though, 'Kenan & Kel' is back where it belongs on April 29.

What to know at a glance

  • Why it matters: Seasons 3 and 4 had been missing from Paramount+ while seasons 1 and 2 stayed up.
  • Reunion project: 'Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein' — a horror-comedy homage in the Abbott & Costello vein.
  • Status: No release date or trailer yet; not confirmed as a continuation of the Nickelodeon series.
  • Premise: Two deliverymen find a mysterious mansion and accidentally awaken Frankenstein's monster.
  • Where it was revealed: Kenan Thompson discussed it on Amazon's Prime Video series 'Good Sports'.
  • Big-picture note: Potential future consolidation could shuffle streaming libraries, but the full series lands on Paramount+ first.

Short version: set a reminder for April 29, queue up some orange soda, and enjoy the full run while it is all in one place.
