Fact check: Noah Schnapp and the Robin question in The Batman: Part II
Rumors have pegged Noah Schnapp as Robin in The Batman: Part II — here’s what that casting buzz actually amounts to.
That viral X post claiming Noah Schnapp had been tapped to play Robin in The Batman Part II didn’t come from Warner Bros. or Matt Reeves — it came from a parody account. The handle “Discussing Fraud” pushed the fake claim, echoing a nearly identical hoax from another parody account, “Discussing Fish,” that made the rounds last December. There’s also been no official word that Robin is even part of the sequel.
Who’s actually in it?
What director Matt Reeves has confirmed is a wave of new casting. In a string of GIFs on X, he welcomed several actors to Gotham — and then singled out Sebastian Stan with a separate post.
- Scarlett Johansson
- Brian Tyree Henry
- Sebastian Koch
- Charles Dance
- Sebastian Stan
Reeves’ message to Stan was short and to the point on X:
“In a Gotham state of mind… Welcome.”
About that Harvey Dent talk
Sebastian Stan’s role remains under wraps. Confusion spiked after French outlet Le Journal du Dimanche published an interview that was widely shared as “confirmation” he’d play Harvey Dent; the outlet later corrected the misinterpretation. Neither Reeves nor the studio has identified who any of the newly announced cast members are playing — and there’s still no confirmation that Robin appears at all.
