Wizards of Waverly Place alum David Henrie is growing his brood: wife Maria Cahill is five months pregnant, he revealed with a rare family photo on Instagram.

David Henrie is about to have even more chaos at the breakfast table. The 'Wizards of Waverly Place' alum and his wife, Maria Cahill, are expecting baby No. 4.

The announcement

Henrie, 36, shared the news on Instagram on Sunday, April 5, posting a rare family photo with their kids' faces covered by heart-eyes emojis. He kept it simple and very on-brand for a big reveal:

'Maria is 5 months pregnant!'

He also opened up about how this one came to be. He said he and Maria had made peace with the idea that their 'big family' dream might not be the plan for them. Then came what he called a 'miraculous encounter' tied to @seekingbeauty.ewtn in Seville, Spain, plus the intercession of St. Teresa of Avila. In his words, the Easter energy was strong: 'He is risen. Truly, He is risen. King of kings.'

Maria's note (and a real-talk sidebar)

Maria, 35, literally grabbed his phone to tweak the caption and add her voice for his 2.9 million followers. She acknowledged how pregnancy posts can hit hard if you are trying to have a baby and nothing is working — and said she has been there herself. She also confirmed they are expecting a boy.

Her message to anyone in that struggle: she sees you, she is praying for future pregnancies, and it took her years to let go of the picture-perfect family she once imagined — but she believes what God wants for us (or allows) eventually makes sense. It was a thoughtful, vulnerable add to the usual Instagram fanfare.

Where the Henries are at

  • Kids: Pia (7), James (5), and Gemma (3), with a baby boy on the way
  • Married: April 2017 — their ninth anniversary is coming up
  • Throwback note: Their wedding was a 'Wizards' mini-reunion with his costars, including Selena Gomez, who played his on-screen little sister Alex Russo
  • Announcement posted: Sunday, April 5, with a rare family photo and emoji-covered kid faces

Bottom line: a fourth Henrie kid is incoming, the backstory is unusually specific and faith-forward, and the family is about to level up from zone defense to... whatever comes after that. Congrats to the Henries.
