Daredevil and Jessica Jones Reunite in Exclusive Born Again Season 2 Clip — The Team-Up Fans Have Been Waiting For
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finally makes the long-awaited Defenders crossover a reality, pairing Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock with Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones and bringing the Marvel–Netflix era full circle.
We finally made it: Daredevil: Born Again is giving Matt Murdock and Jessica Jones a proper team-up, and it lands tonight. If you were waiting for the Netflix- era favorites to collide on Disney+, this is the one.
Yes, Jessica Jones is back (for real)
Remember when Marvel Television and Netflix were cruising, right up until they weren't? By 2018, the shutdown had people assuming those characters were headed to cold storage. Cut to now: Daredevil opened the door, and Jessica Jones is stepping through it. Krysten Ritter makes her mainstream MCU debut in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, Episode 6, joining Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock on the case.
The new clip: Daredevil x Jessica vs. Fisk's task force
A fresh clip from Episode 6 has the duo taking on Wilson Fisk's Anti-Vigilante Task Force (AVTF). Couple key things to clock here:
- Jessica hits like a truck, but she's not bulletproof. She's as vulnerable to gunfire as anyone, which actually makes the AVTF a legitimate threat to her.
- Daredevil's agility and super-senses change the math. At one point he picks up incoming reinforcements before they arrive, and that heads-up literally saves Jessica's life.
Ritter was a standout of the Netflix era for a reason. Her first season still sits near the top of Marvel TV, thanks in no small part to the electric back-and-forth with David Tennant's Kilgrave. The Defenders crossover never totally clicked, but Ritter and Cox together? That worked, and it still does here.
Where she's been (and why the timing matters)
Daredevil: Born Again should finally spell out what Jessica's been doing since Jessica Jones Season 3. Timeline wrinkle: the Netflix shows were set before Thanos 's snap, which means it has been about nine years in-universe since we last saw her. When we left off, she was back running Alias Investigations and had something rare in New York City: public goodwill for a vigilante. Also worth keeping an eye on the Luke Cage angle — in the comics, Jessica and Luke have a child together — so we'll see how (or if) the MCU decides to evolve that relationship on screen.
When and where to watch
