Christopher Nolan’s latest blockbuster is on a box-office tear worldwide—and the new total makes that supersized budget look like a bet that’s paying off.

Nolan’s name has become its own draw after Oppenheimer’s runaway success, and this one doubles down on the “see it big” factor. The oversize IMAX framing and practical spectacle are a conversation-starter, the kind of thing people want to experience in a theater — and talk about after.
