Jeff Garcia, the unforgettable voice behind Sheen Estevez in Jimmy Neutron, has died at 50 after battling several health complications. His son shared the news on Instagram, reflecting on his father's remarkable legacy and influence.

Jeff Garcia, the talented performer who brought Sheen Estevez to life in the animated series Jimmy Neutron, has died at 50. The news was shared by his son, Jojo Garcia, on Instagram on December 10, following a brief stay in the hospital. Earlier this year, Garcia suffered a brain aneurysm after a fall, and while he initially recovered, he later experienced a stroke. He was also hospitalized in November due to pneumonia.

Family Remembers a Unique Spirit

Jojo Garcia paid tribute to his father, writing,

“With a very heavy heart, I would like to inform everybody that my father, Jeff Garcia, has passed away. My father was a unique soul. He was unapologetically himself and I will always admire the love, compassion, and drive that he had. He taught me so much and gave me advice that I live by every single day.”

Jeff Garcia was a fixture in the Los Angeles stand-up comedy scene, a passion he passed on to his son. Jojo continued,

“He was a Father, Son, Uncle, Cousin, Brother, but most of all, he was my best friend. I would call him every day. I would tell him about the plans I had in comedy and my life. He believed in me, in a way that nobody else did. The talent my father possessed was truly one of a kind.”

A Lasting Impact in Entertainment

Garcia’s quick wit and bold sense of humor made him a standout both on stage and behind the microphone. His influence reached audiences worldwide, whether through his voice work or his live performances. Jojo described his father as his “hero,” adding,

“From voice acting to stand up comedy, he shined with his quick wit, brash humor, and charm. He has made such an impact on people’s lives internationally, whether you grew up watching Jimmy Neutron, or shared a laugh with him at one of his shows.”

Career Highlights and Legacy

Beyond his iconic role as Sheen Estevez in both Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Garcia lent his voice to popular animated films like Barnyard, Happy Feet, and Rio. He also appeared in 33 episodes of the sitcom Mr. Box Office, which aired from 2012 to 2013. Garcia is survived by his two children. Jojo closed his tribute with heartfelt words:

“I know you’re in heaven smiling down and you’re in a better place now. No more pain. I’m going to make you proud pops. Fly high, Rocket Man.”
