Avengers Endgame: Encore re-release tickets get an on-sale date

The new 33-second preview for Avengers Endgame: Encore is out, and it comes with the practical info fans wanted: tickets go on sale August 25, and the re-release runs a longer 3 hours and 5 minutes. That’s four minutes more than the 2019 cut, and the added material is billed as a bridge to this winter’s Avengers event.

There’s a catch on formats. The Encore cut will screen only in IMAX and on Marvel ’s new Infinity Vision presentation; standard auditoriums will play the original 2019 version. Theater listings are already live on major sites, and the movie returns to U.S. theaters on September 25, 2026 .

Setting up Doomsday

Marvel is using the Endgame re-release to tee up Avengers: Doomsday on December 18. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have been talking up a few minutes of “bridge” footage since the spring, and Encore is where it drops. The timing also leans into nostalgia: Endgame was the last time the original Avengers were on screen together, and the last appearance for Tony Stark/Iron Man and Steve Rogers/Captain America.

Story specifics for the new material are under wraps, but it’s expected to point directly at Doomsday’s conflict. There’s already chatter that the setup could touch Captain America ’s path back into the fight — reportedly to face Doctor Doom alongside Thor — but Marvel hasn’t confirmed plot beats in the trailer.
