James Cameron will soon return with a new installment of his epic sci-fi saga.

At the end of the year, the third part of James Cameron's epic space saga about the confrontation between humans and the inhabitants of the planet Pandora Na'vi will be released.

Cameron and his team are working hard to drum up interest in the movie, gradually revealing interesting details about the filming process, the plot and new actors.

Avatar: Fire and Ash Release Date

The official release date for the third Avatar on the big screen is December 19, 2025. This is already a tradition: the first two installments also started on Christmas Eve.

The new Avatar has a solid running time: 3 hours and 12 minutes. According to Cameron, the script of the previous movie was so extensive that it was not possible to fit all the ideas into the movie, so it was decided to transfer some of them to Fire and Ash.

What Will Avatar: Fire and Ash Be About?

If the first movie was about earth and the second about water, the third movie will be about fire. Viewers will get to know another clan of the Na'vi, the native inhabitants of the planet Pandora.

This will be Mangkwan – the Clan of Ash. Its members live on the slopes of the volcano and are even more warlike than the Na'vi shown in the previous installments. The surprise is that the characters from the new tribe will most likely be villains.

Whereas the public was introduced to one new tribe per movie, now there will be two. In addition to the Ash Clan, the plot will also introduce the Tlalim – the Windtraders Clan.

These are cheerful nomads who love bright clothes and travel from place to place on creatures that look like a mix of a jellyfish and an airship.

Another surprise is the probable change of the narrator. The audience saw the events of the first movies through the eyes of the main character Jake. In the third part, however, it seems that his son Lo'ak will become the main character.

Avatar: Fire and Ash Is One of the Most Anticipated Projects of the Year

In Fire and Ash, Avatar fans are obviously in for an even bigger treat. This is true both for the visual world of Pandora and for the story itself, which grows from film to film and takes on the characteristics of not just a fantasy fairy tale, but a true epic.

James Cameron has no intention of slowing down. When we see the third Avatar, he will be preparing the fourth one.
