As the 2026 film takes over, your guide to watching 1994’s Street Fighter
The OG Street Fighter is closer than you think—once you know where to hit play.
Want to queue up the original before the reboot hits theaters? In the U.S., the 1994 Street Fighter is easy to find. It ’s streaming free (with ads) and also available to rent or buy if you want a cleaner copy.
Directed by Steven E. de Souza, the ’94 movie throws Jean-Claude Van Damme’s Colonel Guile into a showdown with Raul Julia’s M. Bison, while bringing in franchise staples like Chun-Li, Ryu and Ken for a swirl of cartoon-villain plotting, big-shoulder-pad bravado, and ’90s-style brawls. Reviews were mixed back then, but it’s hung on as a cult favorite for video game movie die-hards.
The 1994 Street Fighter is streaming free on Tubi and Pluto TV.
