Anthony Ramos opens up about the mysterious status of the highly anticipated Transformers and G.I. Joe crossover, urging fans to make their voices heard as the project remains in limbo amid ongoing studio talks.

Fans have been buzzing ever since the closing moments of 2023’s Transformers: Rise of the Beasts teased a long-awaited crossover with the G.I. Joe universe. Nearly three years later, Anthony Ramos, who starred in the film, admits he’s just as uncertain about the project’s future as everyone else. Unlike other major franchises that announce release dates only to push them back, this crossover hasn’t even locked in a premiere window. Ramos is now encouraging the fanbase to reach out to the studios and help get the ball rolling.

Anthony Ramos Urges Fans to Rally for the Crossover

When asked about the project’s status, Ramos didn’t hold back.

"Come on, talk to Paramount. I mean, everybody's buying everybody now. So Paramount, talk to Skydance or talk to whoever ... all of them, just hit them up, if you've got their number. Shout them out."

His comments reflect the uncertainty swirling around the project, especially as studio mergers and acquisitions continue to shake up Hollywood.

Decades of Hints, But No Official Team-Up

Back in the 1980s, both Transformers and G.I. Joe were household names, thanks to their popular toy lines and animated series. The closest fans got to a crossover was mixing the toys together at home. While Hasbro, the company behind both brands, occasionally dropped Easter eggs in various media, there was never a true on-screen collaboration. That changed with Rise of the Beasts, the seventh live-action Transformers film, which didn’t just hint at G.I. Joe’s existence—it spelled it out in the final scenes, much like Nick Fury’s surprise appearance after Iron Man’s credits.

Studio Uncertainty Clouds the Crossover’s Future

Despite the massive popularity of both franchises, there’s still no clear timeline for when—or if—the crossover will actually happen. Producers have insisted the project is in the works, but with Paramount currently in talks to merge with Skydance Media, the future of both series is up in the air. For now, fans are left waiting for any concrete news.

What’s Next for Anthony Ramos

While the crossover remains a mystery, Ramos is keeping busy. He’ll next appear in FX’s The Beauty, premiering January 21. The show dives into the dark side of high fashion, where international supermodels start dying under bizarre and gruesome circumstances. FBI agents Cooper Madsen (Evan Peters) and Jordan Bennett (Rebecca Hall) are dispatched to Paris to investigate, only to uncover a sexually transmitted virus that transforms people into flawless versions of themselves—with horrifying side effects. Their search leads them to a shadowy tech billionaire, played by Ashton Kutcher, who will stop at nothing to protect his empire and his deadly enforcer, portrayed by Ramos. As the epidemic spreads, Jeremy (Jeremy Pope), a desperate outsider, gets caught in the chaos, while the agents race across Paris, Venice, Rome, and New York to stop a threat that could change humanity forever. The Beauty is a global thriller that asks: what would you give up for perfection?
