Summer House favorite Amanda Batula is pressing pause on social media as buzz over her romance with costar West Wilson surges — with a fan’s concourse run-in shared to DeuxMoi fanning the flames.

Summer House keeps delivering mess and makeouts. Amanda Batula seems to be stepping back from Instagram right as her new thing with costar West Wilson goes public in the most old-school way possible: a televised kiss at a baseball game.

About that social media break

A fan tip posted to DeuxMoi on Saturday, April 18, says Amanda, 34, told someone at a stadium concourse that she does not currently have Instagram on her phone and needed a break. The fan claims they offered to donate $100 to a charity of Amanda's choice if she would follow a specific account (DeuxMoi redacted the handle). According to the message, Amanda shared her phone number, the fan typed the details into their notes app, and Amanda promised she would follow the account once she returned to IG.

Commenters immediately asked who Amanda supposedly agreed to follow. DeuxMoi replied that it was 'a fan's wife.' A user named Kyle Sailor then jumped in and identified himself as the fan in question. Us Weekly has reached out to Amanda's rep for comment.

The PDA everyone saw

This DeuxMoi nugget landed one day after Amanda and West, 31, were caught on the Yes Network broadcast at a New York City baseball game, where West leaned in and kissed her on camera. Subtlety is dead, but the footage is very clear.

Where they say things stand

Amanda and West officially confirmed they are dating in March after weeks of online chatter. In a joint Instagram Story, they said they saw the speculation and, even though this is new, they wanted to clear the air. They also stressed it was never about hiding anything; they cited complicated relationship dynamics and the usual reality-TV scrutiny, so they wanted some private breathing room before speaking up. They framed the relationship as something unexpected that grew out of a long-running friendship, which is why they say they are trying to handle it carefully.

The context (it is a lot)

  • Amanda separated from her husband and Summer House costar Kyle Cooke in January after four years of marriage.
  • West previously dated Amanda's close friend and castmate Ciara Miller in 2023.
  • A source told Us Weekly this month that West and Ciara, 30, hooked up again earlier this year.
  • After Amanda and West went public, Ciara unfollowed Amanda on social.
  • Days after confirming the new relationship, Amanda posted an Instagram Story apology saying she had been MIA and was genuinely sorry to anyone she disappointed or hurt, including people she contacted directly. She also said she is trying to protect her mental health and get back to some normalcy, and that none of this is lost on her even if you see her out or posting.
  • Ciara addressed the situation in a Glamour profile published Friday, April 17, noting that she is watching what she thought was her life replay on Season 10 while also dealing with fresh fallout. Her words speak for themselves:

'It is one thing to experience hurt behind closed doors. To experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in Season 10. It is a major mindf***.'

Bottom line: the on-camera kiss makes the relationship real in the public eye, the IG break tracks with the heat around it, and the friendship-to-romance backstory is colliding with a very tangled recent history. Expect more waves as Season 10 keeps rolling.
