The Mike White project is one of HBO's biggest hits, but not all chapters of the story have been equally brilliant.

The last episode of The White Lotus Season 3 has been released – now all that remains is to wait for the new chapter, discuss the long-awaited finale and which of the seasons turned out to be the most exciting.

Each season has its pros and cons, but the number of viewers is increasing and numerous awards confirm the success with viewers and critics. We rank all three seasons of the popular project.

3. Season 3

In the third season, the metaphor of the bestial nature of the characters was finally realized: mysterious Thai monkeys appear here and there in the frame, mirroring a variety of characters.

In the finale, many have to choose between the possibility of living in harmony with themselves and a royal life, but the last episode also poses a more difficult question: what is the director's logic, according to which principle does he "kill" the characters or, on the contrary, grant them a fragile illusion of happiness?

The viewers can cautiously assume that good things should happen to good people, but within the framework of Mike White's world, this does not seem to work quite that way.

2. Season 1

The first part seems to be the most frank compared to the other two: it is not afraid of nude scenes, very unpleasant topics and plots, noticeably awkward conversations – all this will continue, but not in such concentration.

For its frankness, this season is loved and hated in its own way, but it definitely sets the tone for the entire project. White continues to act as an investigator, mercilessly exposing the vices of his characters, but without making moral judgments: many will manage to come to terms with their inner demons and continue a pleasant existence.

1. Season 2

Perhaps it is the cultural heritage of Italy that makes the second season so hypnotic: the creators have managed to incorporate images of art into the plot. The statues and paintings seem to be watching the characters, even predicting plot twists.

The visual images of the season also rhyme with the frescoes of the opening credits. These credits should not be missed, not only for their beauty, but also because each frame can predict significant storylines.

It is very interesting to notice this when watching the series again, because each season, like a good vacation, leaves a pleasant aftertaste.
