After booking Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney, SNL music booker departs

In a behind-the-scenes shake-up just weeks before Saturday Night Live returns, longtime music booker Brian Siedlecki is exiting the show after NBC chose not to renew his contract, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Siedlecki started at SNL as an intern in 1996 and rose through the ranks to producer and talent booker, helping shape the musical moments that became part of Studio 8H lore.

NBC declined to comment on staffing changes, and Siedlecki didn’t respond to a request for comment. His early work included booking Nelly Furtado in 2001 as “I’m Like a Bird” was taking off, the kind of timely pickup that would become a hallmark of his tenure.

Siedlecki’s departure comes as the show keeps other veteran bookers in place: Keri Powers and Rebecca Schwartz remain involved with the music team heading into the fall.

Chloe Fineman exits, too

Chloe Fineman is also leaving SNL after seven seasons. She joined in 2019 as a featured player, moved to the main cast in 2021, and became one of the show’s go-to impressionists — notably sending up Drew Barrymore and Timothée Chalamet — ahead of a cast refresh for Season 52.

Announcing the news on Instagram, Fineman called her time at the show “the greatest privilege” of her life and added, “I’m going to miss it a lot.” She said the people who work at SNL are her family and that the studio feels like home.

Outside the show, Fineman has been busy on screens big and small. Recent credits include:
