5 Can't-Miss Movies and TV Shows to Stream This Week (May 12–15): Dutton Ranch Leads the Lineup
This week’s must-streams jet from Italy to a backyard cattle empire pulsing with secrets, lies and high-stakes melodrama—anchored by the Dutton Ranch on Paramount+ and flanked by fresh drops on Netflix, Disney+, Hulu and more.
This week’s streaming slate is basically a passport stamp buffet: Italy with Tucci, Texas with the Duttons, and a very cranky vigilante who refuses to retire. It ’s a tight window too — May 11 to 15 — with a couple of big swings and a few under-the-radar plays that might hook you fast.

Marty, Life is Short - Netflix - May 12
Martin Short has been everywhere again thanks to Only Murders in the Building, so now he’s getting the full documentary victory lap. The film covers roughly 50 years of Short’s career, from his scrappy SCTV start in Canada to the big-screen stuff like Three Amigos and Father of the Bride. Interviews include Tom Hanks, Steve Martin, and the late Catherine O'Hara, and the doc does more than just replay the hits — it digs into Short as a friend, husband, and dad. If you only know him as the delightfully extra theater kid of Only Murders, this fills in the rest of the picture.
The Punisher: One Last Kill - Disney+ - May 12
Is it a special? A movie? A lost weekend with Frank Castle? Yes. It’s a compact, self-contained Punisher story that spins out of Daredevil: Born Again, but you don’t need a PhD in Marvel continuity to follow it. Jon Bernthal is back as Castle, who tried the whole 'quiet life' thing far away from New York, only to be dragged into the rise of a new criminal empire. It runs about 60 minutes, reads like a hard-edged mini-movie, and was written by Bernthal with director Reinaldo Marcus Green. Heads up: it may live on Disney+, but this is not a kid-friendly hang. The title is not subtle, and neither is the body count.
Tucci in Italy, Season 2 - Hulu - May 12
Stanley Tucci is apparently doing everything this month. After steamrolling the box office with The Devil Wears Prada 2, he’s back to travel-and-food mode with a follow-up to Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy. This round hits Naples, Sicily, and Sardinia — so, pizza, pasta, seafood, and probably a few dishes you’ll Google mid-episode. With flight prices doing whatever chaos they’re doing, watching Tucci eat your dream vacation is the budget option. Also, yes, it’s on Hulu. Roll with it.
Off Campus, Season 1 - Prime Video - May 13
Prime Video keeps cranking out YA adaptations, and this one has that 'next The Summer I Turned Pretty' energy. Based on Ella Kennedy’s series, the eight-episode show stars Ella Bright as Hannah, a shy songwriter who’s hung up on Justin (Josh Heuston), the brooding guy who barely looks up from his hoodie. Her brilliant plan: fake-date Garrett (Belmont Cameli), a charming hockey player with a reputation, to make Justin jealous. Small issue: she actually starts falling for Garrett. If you like messy feelings, jealousy plots, and realizing your 'pretend' crush is not pretending anymore, you’re home.
Dutton Ranch, Season 1 - Paramount+ - May 15
Yellowstone wrapped with John Dutton gone, but the franchise isn’t exactly riding into the sunset. Dutton Ranch is the new flagship and it wastes no time making trouble. Beth (Kelly Reilly), Rip (Cole Hauser), and Carter (Finn Little) leave Montana for Rio Paloima, Texas, where the land is big, the grudges are bigger, and the welcome wagon is... not friendly. With Kayce (Luke Grimes) off dealing with his own problems over on the CBS show Marshals, Beth is juggling the books, the cattle, and the neighbors — including Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening), the powerhouse owner next door who does not like competition. If you want that five-seasons-deep Yellowstone-level drama, the fuse is already lit here.
