Famous cars, references to Stanley Kubrick and other details that are hard to notice.

Back to the Future is a science fiction classic. Released in 1985, the movie follows teenager Marty McFly as he travels to the past and future.

The trilogy contains many interesting hidden details, some of which connect different parts of the franchise, the other entertain with references to pop culture, and some are connected with behind-the-scenes stories.

1. Michael J. Fox Played Five Roles at Once

In the first movie, some actors wore heavy makeup to appear older in the 1985 scenes. To spare Christopher Lloyd, the crew created a scene in the sequel where his character talks about future rejuvenation. Michael J. Fox, on the other hand, had to alter his appearance several times.

In addition to playing the main role in the sequel, he played an older version of himself. At the same time, he played Marty Jr., his son, who causes a lot of problems.

To amuse the viewers, the actor was made up to look like a girl – this is how Marlene McFly, Marty's daughter, appeared. The third movie also featured this kind of irony: Fox appeared as Seamus McFly, a distant ancestor of the character.

2. The First Movie References Stanley Kubrick's Favorite Easter Egg

At the beginning of the first movie, Marty visits Brown and decides to play the guitar. He plugs in the amplifier and turns the volume up to the maximum. On the first chord, the speaker breaks.

If you look closely at the device, you can see the inscription CRM 114 – this is how Robert Zemeckis paid tribute to Stanley Kubrick. The renowned filmmaker hid this Easter egg in several of his films.

In Dr. Strangelove, there is radio equipment called Discriminator CRM 114, and in the science fiction movie 2001: A Space Odyssey, the ship has the same serial number.

3. Uncle Joey Was Prepared for His Fate in Advance

At the beginning of the first movie, the McFly family has dinner in an unpleasant atmosphere. George's boss crashed his car and Uncle Joey was still in prison.

In 1955, Marty meets Uncle Joey. He is still a baby, but the filmmakers foreshadow the man's future. He wears striped pajamas and loves sitting in a crib whose sides resemble prison cell bars.

Mom says that every time the child is pulled out, he starts crying. Marty says the baby should get used to the bars.

4. Back to the Future Part II Features Glimpses of Cars From Other Movies

In Back to the Future Part II, the characters find themselves in the year 2015. The filmmakers showed that by this time, the world would have many advanced things, such as clothes that adjust to size and flying skateboards.

Unusual cars also appear in the movie. Fans of old flicks may recognize some of them. While running from his pursuers, Marty passes a police car familiar to fans of Blade Runner. Unfortunately, it is visible for only a second. However, the parked StarCar from The Last Starfighter is clearly visible.
