Jimmy Fallon’s NBC show just notched a season 14 milestone—wait till you see what record it set.

Three weeks into its fall run, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon is posting its sharpest year-over-year bounce in a while: the show is up 34% among adults 18–49 compared with the same early-season stretch last year, with total viewers also nudging up 3%, according to TheWrap.

Season 14 kicked off in September with a steady stream of big-name guests, helping juice interest as the show settled into its first month back.

Social surge

Off-air, the show’s footprint is massive: more than 127 million followers and subscribers across platforms, and over 8 billion social video views in the past year. As TheWrap reported, that makes Fallon’s show the No. 1 late-night talker on social media right now.

Season 14 is up 34% among adults 18–49 vs. the same period last year.

Elsewhere: a cancellation

Not everything in Fallon’s TV portfolio is on the upswing. NBC has canceled his business-minded reality competition, On Brand with Jimmy Fallon, after one season. Fallon created, hosted and executive produced the series, which he even flew to Cannes to promote; former Netflix marketing chief Bozoma Saint John appeared alongside him on the show.

Back at 30 Rock, Fallon’s late-night future is set: his NBC deal, first signed in 2021 and extended in 2024, keeps him behind the desk through 2028—a runway he’s previously said he hopes will help him chase Johnny Carson’s longevity mark.
