10 Prime Video Comedies Too Funny to Skip This April 2026
Prime Video’s latest comedy lineup is light on new releases but heavy on classics, from the mind-bending Being John Malkovich to Michael Keaton’s throwback Mr. Mom—proof the sharpest laughs are timeless.
Prime Video did not just flood the zone with brand-new comedies this round, but the old reliables are doing the heavy lifting. I am always happy to cue up the classics when the new-release shelf is looking thin.
Being John Malkovich
Back in 1999, this was a true oddball experiment. In 2026, it still plays like a gleeful head trip. It is strange in the best way, and that strangeness has aged really well. If you have never seen it, you are in for something wonderfully off-center. If you have, you know exactly why it still hits.
Mr. Mom
On the other end of the timeline, Michael Keaton's "Mr. Mom" is from a very different comedy era. You can feel the decade in every gag and setup, but some jokes and dynamics just do not go out of style. It is comfort-food funny, and that is not a knock.
You will find both of these and the rest of my must-watch comedy picks for Amazon Prime Video below.
