Who ends up together on Better Late Than Single? Only 2 couples survive the final pick
Netflix's Better Late Than Single took 12 Korean singles who had never once been in a relationship — the self-described "eternal singles" — gave them a six-week makeover program, and shipped them off to a nine-day dating retreat on Jeju Island.
The finale dropped on July 29, 2025, and after ten episodes of love triangles (and at least one love square), only two couples walked out together.
Here's who made it — and who went home solo.
The final couples
- Ha Jeong-mok and Park Ji-yeon — the season's most debated pairing. Jeong-mok was the most in-demand man in the house, drawing interest from Kim Yeo-myung, Yi Do, and Lee Min-hong — but he chose Ji-yeon, the 26-year-old music producer, after her confession about a difficult childhood deepened their bond. They locked in as the first official couple.
- Kang Ji-su and Kim Seung-li — the shakier match. Ji-su was pursued by Kim Sang-ho and Kang Hyun-kyu too, and nearly walked away after Seung-li forgot a deeply personal detail she'd shared. She showed up at the final pick anyway.
Everyone else — Jae-yun, Yeo-myung, Sang-ho, Min-hong, Yi Do, Hyun-kyu, Seung-chan, and Mi-ji — left single. Several forfeited their final pick entirely, while others placed their photo in someone's diary knowing full well it wouldn't be returned.
The moment that sold it
Jeong-mok, who spent much of the season worrying he was fundamentally unlovable, summed up his arc in the finale:
"Being here, I learned, 'Oh, I can be loved too. I can give someone love.' I feel certain of that now and that feels great."
Ji-su was blunter. Asked whether choosing among so many suitors was hard, she answered with a single word: "No."
Are the couples still together?
Officially unknown. The producers told iMBC on July 31, 2025, that filming had wrapped ten months before the finale aired, and they deliberately left out a "where are they now" update — they felt the cast should decide for themselves when and how to share it. The contestants' social media accounts are private, so no confirmation has surfaced either way.
Will there be a season 2?
Nothing confirmed, but the show landed well — its offbeat premise and panel of Cupids (Seo In-guk, Kang Han-na, Lee Eun-ji, and Car, the Garden) drew a strong response, and the creators have publicly discussed the possibility. All 10 episodes are streaming on Netflix.
Two couples out of twelve people. For a cast that had never dated anyone, that's not a bad hit rate.
