When The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On premiered on Netflix on April 6, 2022, six couples arrived with the same problem: one partner wanted a ring, and the other wasn't sure. Four years later, the scoreboard is genuinely surprising.
Four of the six couples are now married — to each other. Here's where everyone stands.

The marriages
Madlyn Ballatori and Colby Kissinger delivered the wildest finale in the show's history — Madlyn skipped the engagement entirely and married Colby on the spot on Decision Day. It stuck. Daughter Josephine ("Josie") arrived on May 2, 2022, followed by son Conrad Lloyd in September 2023, and the family relocated to Madlyn's Texas hometown.
Alexis Maloney and Hunter Parr barely played the game at all: Hunter proposed before the trial marriages even began, and the pair walked out engaged. They wed in June 2022 in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
Lauren Pounds and Nathan Ruggles followed the same playbook minutes later — Nathan proposed rather than let Lauren pair off with someone else. They married in October 2022 and welcomed a baby boy in June 2024.
The long road: Shanique and Randall
Theirs is the redemption arc. Randall Griffin proposed to Shanique in the finale, but the couple called off the engagement by the reunion and rebuilt slowly — living together, then re-engaging in July 2023 after Randall proposed again in a secret garden in Austin. On May 25, 2025, they finally married in front of 150 guests at the Red Berry Estate in San Antonio, Texas.
"Shanique brings light into every room. She's driven, grounded, and the most thoughtful person I've ever met," Randall told People in 2025.
The ultimatum, it turns out, just needed a three-year runway.
The splits: Rae, Zay, April, and Jake
The show's messiest quartet never recovered. Rae Williams and Zay Wilson broke up after Zay slept with his trial-marriage partner during filming; Rae has since dated a woman, explored her bisexuality, and built a modeling career, including work with Playboy and Fashion Nova.
Zay struck out again on Perfect Match in 2023, appeared on Celebrity Ex on the Beach in 2024, and was reported by Parade in 2024 to be dating Real Housewives of Miami star Larsa Pippen.
Rae and Jake Cunningham — the season's forbidden spark — left the finale together with a plane ticket to anywhere in the world. They never took the trip. Jake has stayed single since, while his ex April Marie moved on with real estate broker Cody Cooper and welcomed a baby girl.
Final tally: six couples went in, four marriages came out — every single one between the people who arrived together.
