What happened to 002 in Stranger Things? Eleven's bully and how his story ends
Two — number 002, played by Tristan Spohn — is the shaven-headed boy who makes young Eleven's life hell in the Hawkins Lab flashbacks of Stranger Things season 4.
His story ends on September 8, 1979, in the Rainbow Room massacre: he's the last child Henry Creel kills before Eleven blasts Henry into the dimension that turns him into Vecna.
002 at a glance
- The actor — Tristan Spohn.

- The crime — leading Three, Four, and Five in a beating that put Eleven in the infirmary.
- The end — Henry Creel's final victim in the massacre of September 8, 1979.
Who was 002?
Two was the oldest of Brenner's test subjects and ran the Rainbow Room like a schoolyard. Then Eleven beat him in a telekinetic sparring exercise, in front of everyone — in front of Papa — and he couldn't live with it. With the cameras off, he and his three followers cornered her, slammed her into a wall hard enough to cause a concussion, and threatened to kill her if she talked.
"You are weak and pathetic. I was holding back," he sneers at her in the flashbacks — the schoolyard logic of every bully who has just lost.
The punishment
Brenner smelled the lie in Two's cover story. In front of the assembled children, he locked an electroshock collar around the boy's neck and shocked a confession out of him — one of season 4's most chilling scenes, and a reminder that the lab's real monster wore a suit and called himself Papa. Two was carried off to the infirmary.
How his story ends
Days later, Eleven removed the implant suppressing the powers of a friendly orderly — not knowing he was Henry Creel, subject One, Brenner's first experiment. Henry slaughtered the lab: staff, guards, and every one of the children. When Eleven reached the Rainbow Room, she found the bodies — and then watched Henry pin Two against the wall and crush him, a demonstration staged for her benefit. His last victim.
Eleven then overpowered Henry and hurled him into the void, where he became Vecna.
For years, the massacre was blamed on her; season 4 finally showed who really did it.
And reliving those memories — the bullying, the collar, Two's death — is exactly what restores her powers in the NINA tank in 1986.
Two spent his short life proving he was the strongest kid in the lab. He died proving he was never even close.
