Doja Cat put a fellow rapper’s AI-assisted album on blast during a candid livestream — and the target won’t love what she said.
On a late-night stream from her Twitch channel, dojacattington, Doja Cat didn’t mince words about Tyga’s new album $tarface and its use of AI. Fans clipped the moment and blasted it across X, TikTok, and Instagram within hours, fueling a fresh round of debate over how far technology should go in making music.
“Tyga is a p**** for making an AI album,” she said to viewers during the stream.
The livestream barb landed squarely on the week Tyga’s project has been drawing attention for how it reportedly leans on artificial intelligence. Tyga, for his part, has already defended the approach, telling Vibe in an interview that he sees AI as another tool in the studio rather than a replacement for artists.

“It’s no different than when Auto-Tune came out. Some people were opposed to it, but real artists took it and used it,” he said.
“If you like it, you like it; if you don’t, you don’t. I don’t care. It’s supposed to give you an experience and a feeling. But we definitely used AI as a tool.”
