A serious crash in Temecula sent Beverly Hills, 90210 alum Tori Spelling, 52, and seven children riding in her vehicle to the hospital on Thursday, April 2, according to law enforcement sources.

Scary one for Tori Spelling. She and seven kids wound up in the hospital after a crash in Temecula, California, on Thursday, April 2. The whole thing sounds like it could have been much worse.

What police say happened

  • Per TMZ, law enforcement responded in Temecula on Thursday after the 52-year-old 'Beverly Hills, 90210' alum was involved in a collision.
  • Sources told the outlet Spelling had seven children in the SUV — four of her own and three others — when another vehicle allegedly sped through a red light and hit them.
  • TMZ also reports Spelling tried a last-second maneuver to get out of the way, which may have helped avoid more serious injuries.
  • Everyone from both cars was evaluated at the scene, and no arrests were made.
  • Footage from afterward showed Spelling talking with officers next to her damaged SUV.
  • Spelling and the seven kids were taken to a nearby hospital in three separate ambulances, where they were treated for cuts, bruises, contusions, and concussions, according to TMZ.

Who was in the car

TMZ says it was four of Spelling's children plus three other kids, but it is not clear which four of her five were with her. She shares Liam Aaron (19), Stella Doreen (17), Hattie Margaret (14), Finn Davey (13), and Beau Dean (9) with ex-husband Dean McDermott, 59. Spelling and McDermott were married for 17 years, separated in June 2023, and finalized their divorce in December 2025.

The 2011 crash that still hangs over this

If this story feels extra unsettling, there is history. Back in 2011, while pregnant, Spelling said she was trying to get away from a photographer outside her kids' elementary school when she crashed. Liam and Stella were in the car with her. She described backing up to get away and hitting a wall in the process, and claimed the photographer kept shooting until a group of moms intervened.

'The car accident was caused by me: Was it induced because of paparazzi? Yes.'

She said later on Good Morning America that she was embarrassed to have drawn photographers to the school. No charges were filed in that 2011 incident.

Where things stand now

No arrests in Thursday's crash; everyone involved was checked by first responders; Spelling and the kids were treated at a local hospital. Us Weekly says they have reached out to her rep for comment. I will update if more details land, including which of her children were with her.
