Tom Holland and Zendaya have weighed in on Peter Parker’s big Spider-Man: No Way Home decision — and suggest Brand New Day will reckon with the consequences.
During a stop on the Shanghai press tour for Spider- Man: Brand New Day , Tom Holland finally said out loud what plenty of fans have argued since 2021: Peter Parker should’ve told MJ the truth at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home. After briefly trying to steer clear of spoilers, he cut to it.
"The moral of the story is, that he should have told her, " Holland said.
Zendaya backed him up in the same exchange. She started to answer—“I... well, our opinion is that…”—before Holland jumped back in. She didn’t disagree.
"He should have told her, yeah."
The moment they’re talking about is Peter walking into that coffee shop, seeing the bandage on MJ’s head, and deciding not to remind her who he is after Doctor Strange ’s spell wiped everyone’s memory. Neither star would say whether Peter actually follows through on that belief in Brand New Day. They stopped short of plot specifics, but their comments make it clear the film digs back into No Way Home’s final choice instead of leaving it in the past.
