The story revolves around journalist Rebecca and police officer Cam, who separately and then together investigate the murder of 14-year-old Reena. Both women are convinced that teenagers from an orphanage were somehow involved in the incident. Originally from India, Reena desperately tried to fit in with their group, but was constantly rejected.

3. Sweetpea, 2024
The satirical thriller Sweetpea tells the story of Rhiannon, an employee at The Carnsham Gazette who quietly dreams of a great career as a journalist.
After years of being bullied at school, Rhiannon closes herself off from the world, losing her self-confidence and any hope for the future. The unexpected death of her father forces the girl to look into the past and meet her old tormentors. Instead of playing the victim, Rhiannon decides to fight back against the school bullies in the most brutal way possible.
4. Ripley, 2024
Netflix's miniseries Ripley is a new adaptation of Patricia Highsmith's series of novels about con man and murderer Tom Ripley. In the new version, Andrew Scott plays the antagonist.
The plot of Ripley follows small-time bank swindler Tom Ripley, who travels to the Italian coast on a particularly important mission: wealthy businessman Herbert Greenleaf hires him to find and bring home Dickie, who is wasting his life and his parents' money with his fiancée Marge. But Tom has his own plans for the wealthy family.
5. Lady in the Lake, 2024
The plot is based on the novel of the same name by author Laura Lippman, who was inspired by the Baltimore murders. The first, involving 11-year-old Esther Lebowitz, was widely reported in newspapers across the country. The second, in which the victim was a 33-year-old barmaid, received virtually no publicity.
The action takes place in Baltimore in the mid-60s. The main character, housewife and aspiring journalist Maddie, leaves her rich husband and teenage son to pursue a career as a newspaper reporter.
Maddie stumbles upon two unsolved cases that she believes are connected. And while the police do nothing, she begins her own investigation.
