Stick Season 2 puts Pryce back on the course and Santi at a crossroads — just as a surprising new face threatens to mess with the duo’s groove.

The new season of Stick jumps ahead six months to the Dove Charity Pro/Am Invitational in Georgia, where teenage phenom Santi Wheeler finishes third and proves his breakout wasn’t a fluke. What slows him isn’t his swing — it ’s Pryce Cahill waving a full ride to Indiana University and arguing the kid needs school and emotional armor before the grind of tour life. Santi hears opportunity sliding by, and he pointedly reminds Pryce that cashing in his talent used to be the plan.

That hit lands because Pryce’s caution is real: it’s coming from grief over his child’s death and his own career’s crash. When an old friend asks him to sub into a charity foursome — the event raises money for homeless kids — a couple of loudmouths bet he’ll crater. Instead, Pryce threads fearless shots and suddenly looks like the day’s main attraction. The performance doesn’t just light up Santi; it draws in a smooth young agent, Jeremy Pierce, who starts circling Santi and his girlfriend-caddie Zero with promises of the pro world.

Off the course, Amber-Linn fixes Pryce up with her coworker Beth. A few bleak musings about nature nuke the vibe, Clark Ross swoops in, hits it off with Beth, and pitches Pryce on a moonshot: become the oldest US Open champion. Pryce says no — for now — but the idea sticks. As the crew heads west, Jeremy is clearly gearing up to make a move.

L.A. temptations

Los Angeles brings another invitational, another strong finish for Santi, and fresh arguments about college. Jeremy upgrades to full celebrity-agent mode: exclusive parties, doors opened, and an introduction to Michael Jordan that turns Santi’s “someday” into “right now.” Zero is still his partner on and off the bag, while Elena and Mitts keep clicking — with Mitts gently pushing the “move in” conversation.

Jeremy knows exactly where to press. He paints Pryce as yesterday’s model, too old-school to grasp the sponsorship firepower attached to a rising star. Pryce pushes back with hard-earned warnings about building your whole life around one sport and how fast it can all collapse. Meanwhile, Clark keeps buzzing Pryce about that splashy comeback.

Santi says he’s turning pro — and picks Jeremy Pierce as his agent.

The split

It all erupts over a group meal: Santi formally declares he’s going professional. Pryce — clearly gutted — nods his acceptance. Then the real shock: Jeremy will represent him, not Pryce. Pryce and Mitts walk out, leaving Santi, Zero, and Elena at the table.

Instead of spiraling, Pryce heads straight to Clark’s hotel room and says yes to competing again. Two careers now launch on parallel tracks — mentor and protégé pointed at different tees, with a head-to-head clash suddenly on the table.

  • Owen Wilson — Pryce Cahill: once-great pro, now eyeing a comeback
  • Santi Wheeler: teenage prodigy ready to turn professional
  • Zero: Santi’s girlfriend, caddie and social media partner
  • Elena and Mitts: happily coupled, trying to build a home base
  • Jeremy Pierce: slick young agent promising big-money deals
  • Clark Ross: Pryce’s persistent friend with a US Open dream
  • Amber-Linn: coworker who sets up Pryce’s ill-fated date
  • Beth: the dinner date who bonds with Clark instead
